In-Home Dog Training In New Orleans

We adopted our dog, Finney, from the shelter in February. As a shelter dog, he came with challenges such as nipping, pulling when walking, and severe dog reactivity. We tried what seemed like everything to resolve the issue on our own, but after many failed attempts we called Dog Training Elite and signed up for their behavior modification training which included 7 one on one sessions coming to our home and then 20 group sessions. We saw HUGE improvements with our pup after just one session. By the end of our one on one sessions we no longer have a dog who nips, pulls or barks at other dogs. We have a calm dog who looks to us for direction on what to do when he feels anxious. We went from being scared taking Finney on walks for fear of how he would react to other dogs to being able to confidently take Finney on walks with our new skills learned. We cannot thank the dog training elite team enough for everything they have taught us and continue to help us with!

The trainers are extremely knowledgeable and have helped me turn my hyper puppy into my service dog in less than a year. I will be taking my service dog with me to college and can’t wait for all of the fun adventures we will be able to go on thanks to her wonderful training!

We love Dog Training Elite! Prior to training, our two reactive corgis were unmanageable. They were extremely aggressive and causing each other harm. After just one session with Tyler, our corgis George and Sam already made significant progress. They listened better and were fighting way less. Now, with one session to go, it’s like we have two new dogs! They are extremely well behaved! We can open the gate to our patio and they don’t run out. We can walk both of them without any issues with barking or seeing other dogs. The progress they have made has been life changing. We are so grateful for the help!!!

I can not recommend Dog Training Elite DTE) strong enough!!!! From day 1 the changes in my dog’s behavior blew me away. My Akita knew the basics and was a very good dog but I wanted an exceptional dog. A dog that would protect me or my family when needed but also he needed to be on his best behavior at ALL times. My training began with Karen (an excellent trainer with a natural gift to communicate with your furry best friend) Now we are working directly with Neil and everyday I feel like we are moving leaps and bounds. My Akita looks forward to his training days and he truly is a very happy participant in his training process. He wants to do all the things we ask of him and you can tell he cannot wait to learn something new and receive my praise. Again I highly recommend Neil and his team. If you want your dog to be the dog you see in the movies then DTE is the only call you have to make!!!!

Dog Training Elite is all you need for the dog of your dreams. I have been working with Neal and his staff for 4 months now and I am blown away by how much we’ve accomplished in such a short time. My gorgeous Akita was very well trained by me in obedience but I wanted him to learn protection and socialization. I cannot recommend Neal and his team enough!!! Neal is the real deal!! If you want the dog you see in the movies then all you need to do is call Dog Training Elite.

We have been having an incredible experience with Dog Training Elite with our high energy Aussie. Our goal is to make him a therapy dog and after a ton of research, I landed on Dog Training Elite. There were some scheduling issues in the beginning, however they acknowledged this area of opportunity and were transparent with some turnover in their scheduling department. This has since not been an issue and our Aussie has been progressing so well through the program. Fallon is the BEST trainer. She explains each command and demo in a way we fully understand so we can be confident and successful. I can’t recommend this company enough. It is on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for. Nothing compares to seeing my reactive, high energy Aussie become confident in our relationship and learning so fast!

We were having issues with aggression and anxiety with our dog. It was to the point where he was fighting with another dog in our home, we couldn’t have guests over, etc. We felt extremely defeated. Training with Tyler from Dog Training Elite seriously has changed our lives for the better. We feel like our dog has improved so much. We’ve been given the tools to create structure for our dog so that he can be successful. Our dog’s demeanor is so much better, he doesn’t act out toward our other dogs or guests anymore, and so much more. We are so grateful to have been able to train with Tyler and Dog Training Elite. Enrolling my pup in DTE training has been a game changer! After just 1 week, he no longer pulled when walking. After 2, we no longer got asked to leave public places due to his barking. After 3, I was comfortable taking him into various public settings. My boy barked with excitement when we pulled up to the facility and had the wiggliest butt during drop off. Needless to say , the trainers are great. We’ve bumped into the trainers a few times while out and they were always excited to see him. Thank you all for helping us obtain our service dog license. I will continue to spread the company name with pride.

Loved everything about this experience with my golden retriever! The staff was incredible - always available to answer any questions, provided me with clear instructions after every training session and they were patient, kind and a pleasure to learn from! We’ve had an exceptional experience with our dog trainer, especially with Deidre's guidance. Our journey began when our puppy was 10 weeks old and we dove headfirst into puppy training, eager to mold him into a therapy dog for hospital volunteer work. However, our optimism was quickly overshadowed by a frustrating hurdle: the dreaded habit of poop consumption. Feeling overwhelmed, we reached out to the trainer for help. They were incredibly supportive, offering a variety of solutions to address the issue. When the initial attempts fell short, they promptly provided alternative approaches, ensuring we never felt alone in our struggle. Thanks to their guidance, our puppy, now 5 months old, has overcome this unsavory habit! We're immensely grateful for their expertise in navigating this challenging aspect of puppyhood. Having successfully completed the puppy training program, we've seamlessly transitioned into the obedience program. Witnessing our puppy's progress has been truly remarkable and encouraging.
