We were at our wits end with our Catahoula Abby. She was not listening, would nip at children, and was very aggressive around other dogs and people she did not know. After the first week, she has been transformed to a brand new dog. She Is now the best behaved dog I’ve ever owned. I have been training coonhounds and dogs my whole life, but these guys worked a miracle. I would recommend them for any dog, especially high energy dogs. They are kind, caring, and compassionate. Their tools and their practice is top-notch and very professional. We cannot thank you enough! The cost is definitively worth the end result. We could not be happier with all of their staff and the results that we see!!

Hi! My name is Bentley and yes I have always been this handsome!! My Maw has been talking about 5/5 stars, I don’t have a clue about any of dat. All I know is my Maw brought me to meet some new friends one day, and boy howdy these new friends were the nicest group of gals I ever did meet! From the minute I walked (okay I was dragged in by my Maw) on day one the smile that Sara gave me, warmed my heart. Then Amber and McKenzie-these gals are top notch! They spent their days with me they always talked to me calmly and reassuring. And all the fun activities I got to learn!!! Maw thought I was a tad bit on the timid side, shy, barked incessantly and sometimes scared of my own shadow, but me and them there gals? We showed Maw a thing or two!!! Fore ya know it I’m walking in those doors real proud like, Sara just beaming her purtty smile at me, and oh all the lovings and “atta boys” from Amber and McKenzie…. It does a handsome boy like me good to feel so confident!! Adventures out with Maw these days are so much more fun, I walked right beside her, not scaredy cat anymore even when other big dogs walk past, I just hold my head high and strut past! I don’t even bark!!! Guess what? You can be as Stinkin cute as me AND confident AND have great manners too-all ya gotta do is have your Maw or Paw sit a spell and jaw with these here fine folks and they will teach Maw or Paw a thing or two while you get to have fun activities. 5/5 stars

While checking out dog training programs we came across Dog training Elite Springfield. Had no idea what it would entail but called and set up an appointment with Kristi and Jeremy owners and both dog trainers. Wasn't sure what we needed other than help with a rough and rowdy terrier named Auggie. They explained and demonstrated, with the use of their own dog how training could transform Auggie into the puppy we could be proud of. The cost of the course includes all you need to get great results. We took the chance and are glad we did. From the first day We were extremely satisfied with his progress. We were shocked to see how much he learned in one day. The course also includes training for the owners/parents. The staff are young, Knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. All in all, it is one of the best investments we could have made for our fur baby Auggie.

We have had a great experience here. Our puppies have loved being there and have learned so much. We are heading towards training, one to be a service dog and the other to be a therapy dog. They have done wonders with both of them. I can’t wait to finish training with them and appreciate all the time and energy they put into each puppy. I highly recommend.

Dog Training Elite, is 100% amazing! I'm amazed at the difference in my sweet little Poodle, Tinker. Tinker had issues with separation anxiety, would over react when any other dog was in sight. He would pull his leash and acted like a disobedient toddler. So much gratitude for the team at Dog Training Elite who not only helped Tinker to behave properly! My husband and I welcomed Finn (English Cream Golden) into our family last July and quickly realized that he was unlike any dog we had previously had. We have trained our previous dogs fairly easily but Finn was a bully and very contrary. Within 6 months I was ready to find him a home but was convinced he would become more manageable after the 14 month wait for neuter. I was wrong, after the neuter he was still wild, didn't listen and ate EVERYTHING! After being kicked out of two doggie day care centers in town, I was trying to contact a training center for a last ditch effort to keep him. That was how I got in touch with Kristie at dog training elite. I liked her immediately! She told me that she could provide an experience where I would love my dog. Honestly, I didn't see how but she was so genuine and positive that I would see a difference within our first training session that I had to try. We purchased the Platinum Plan, because between what we paid for Finn, and time invested it didn't make sense not to. I wanted Kristie to be there to demonstrate, show Finn, and then observe our training w Finn for hands on corrections. And ya know what.....I adore my dog. We are in week 5 training session....I can take a bath without him licking me, I can place him in the living room while I am cooking, I can have him come inside in a gentlemanly manner and he bullies no one. Gone are the days of shouting (embarrassing but true), frustration and disappointment on finding the 5th pair of glasses demolished. Kristie changed our lives and now I look forward to Finn time! Can't say enough good things about Dog Training Elite! My 2 year old corgi, Mabel, was showing some reactive behavior and lack of proper boundaries and expectations were causing her to act out. The training was very helpful and has helped Mabel become a calmer more confident dog. Each session, the training staff would first work with Mabel to show the command and what was expected as the result before handing over the leash to allow us to get some practice in to help reinforce for both owner and pup. The group sessions have also been great because it gives us the opportunity to continue to work on the skills learned. We have gotten the opportunity to work with all of the trainers, and all are very knowledgeable and want the best for your dog.

We are a 75-year-old couple, and a few months ago we brought home our sweet little dachshund, Molly. As much as we adored her from the start, we soon realized her puppy energy was a bit more than we could handle. We needed help! I have a 6 month old French Bulldog who was impossible to handle. I’ve had Frenchies before so I knew I needed help and Dog Training Elite stepped up! My dog is now a joy to be around. She is great at home or in a crowd of people she doesn’t know. We just give her a command and she follows. She still has her happy, judg-ee, stubborn, sometimes bat crap crazy personality, but she is also calm and submissive when we need her to be. Dog Training Elite is absolutely the place to go if you want a well trained happy dog.

I am so thankful I made the choice to take my dog Armani to Dog Training Elite! I have been working with my dog sugar to become a service dog at dog training elite and they have been super helpful with the whole process from puppy training to obedience and now to task training and public access. Sugar is a different dog from when she was a puppy. She is much better behaved and still is her goofy self. I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to have a service dog but can’t afford a pre trained one and or wants to train in person.

Our stormy girl was very hard headed and stubborn and after going through dog training elite she is now obedient and know to mind her manners. We couldn’t be more happy with her progress!

After 3 years of training our Golden Retriever, Nugget, I decided I wanted to get him trained to be my service animal, so after a lot of searching I landed on Dog Training Elite of Springfield. I was also in school and only in town for winter breaks and summer, so Kristi sat down with me and planned out a fast track training schedule to get Nugget through each tier as long as we both worked hard and stayed focused! Prior to training with Elite, he already knew basic commands, but he needed to know the command wasn’t an option, it was a requirement! In a matter of 3 months, with a lot of work, consistency, and an awesome trainer (Kristi) Nugget successfully completed his basic training and public access training, and took his PA test in order to be certified! After a year of having Nugget as my service animal, I had a few issues to address. Kristi and Jeremy were eager to help address the problems I was facing and provided me with techniques and proper methods for command and button use. Nugget is back at work and school with me everyday! I am beyond pleased with Springfield’s Dog Training Elite Program and I will continue to recommend them! I know the cost is a hard pill to swallow but I promise that if you listen to Kristi and Jeremy, you put the time AND effort in and stay consistent with your dog, you will be beyond happy! 10 out of 10!

We brought our 75-pound airedale puppy for the two week intensive training and can confirm he was a truly special and stubborn boy! Even after just a week of daily work we had friends and family comment on his noticeable difference and improvement - and we saw it too. We are now able to walk both our dogs at the same time, don’t have to deal with him jumping, and are much more confident in our boy behaving. We are so grateful for the help and guidance - Artie is much better for it!!

Regarding Ellie:  We received a 13 month old puppy a month ago and immediately fell in love with her sweet temperament! I cannot say enough great things about Kristi and the staff at Dog Training Elite! I brought my dog in for training due to having some reactive tendencies around other dogs at the dog park and home. He is not an aggressive dog, but he didn't know how to control his emotions. Since starting training with Kristi, my dog has become significantly calmer and is now able to be around other dogs without lunging, barking, or pulling. I love taking my dog to breweries, and I can happily do that without worrying if he will go after a person or a dog. I know he will continue to make progress with other dogs, but he has a great foundation to continue to build upon!

We LOVE DTE Springfield and the entire team!! We adopted Maverick, a German Shepherd mix about 6 months ago from the Humane Society with a very traumatic background. Maverick was a very anxious, trauma-ridden, aggressive, defiant dog. He lunged at cats, people, barked and whined 24/7, nipped and tried to bite people. He had absolutely no structure and let us know he thought HE was the boss! We got Mav into DTE the next week after having him home and he made a complete turn around after session 2 or 3. Although at times it was challenging to get through his hard head, it was so incredible to watch. He even seemed to love learning and working our new tricks. With their help, he stopped being reactive to our cats and other dogs, as well as people. He started listening and gained SO MUCH confidence in himself. He is not an angry dog anymore; in fact he is now energetic and smiley, the happiest, sweetest dog. He is such an amazing member of our family and absolutely LOVES his sister, Harley, who is also trained by DTE. We can never thank you enough!

The wonderful staff at Dog Training Elite not only trained my dog, but they gave him confidence while coaching me at the same time! Between his time in class and his nightly homework, Crosby is a different dog! He’s calm and relaxed. For the first time in his life, he’s not anxious when I walk out of the room. There literally aren’t enough good things to say about the Platinum Fast Track program. Pricey, but worth every penny. If it weren’t for Kristi and her team, I don’t think Crosby would still be in our family. I owe them a lot.

This place was everything i hope for and more, on getting my dog trained to be a service dog. I learned so much and just in matter of months my dog pass her test to be a service dog. We started training for our dog a couple months ago. The classes have been amazing, and our dog is now responding to commands. We can safely go out to the park, to the local dog friendly stores. We highly recommend Dog Training Elite.

Our 3-year-old Bernedoodle, Mozzie, knew basic commands but did not listen to my husband and me. Before Dog Training Elite, we had to give him the same command multiple times before he would finally comply. After his 2 weeks with Kristi and her staff, he is listening the first time, every time. Mozzie is over 100 lbs, and with the "heel" command, he is able to come with us even to crowded/tighter spaces. This is something we weren't able to do previously due to his poor leash manners and disobedience. With the help of Kristi and her team, Mozzie has met his full potential, and we could not be more pleased. Our 4-month-old Goldendoodle puppy, Birdie, was a tornado in dog form. She did not listen, and we could not control her energy; we had no tools to communicate what behavior we wanted from her. Harley is our 1.5 year old high-energy English Bulldog. When we first met Kristi and the Dog Training Elite crew, Harley was a brat that only wanted to do what she wanted to do and that was that. She is a very stubborn girl that did not want to listen to mom or dad. She would pull and lunge on her leash, jump all over everyone, “bulldoze” as I would call it, running through the house and at people. Just after a week of training with DTE, we had a new dog that would listen and mind us. We could go on walks without having to worry about her lunging at other dogs, people. Harley now spends most of her day with mom in her office being a well behaved baby getting ALL the positive attention she wanted before! We will forever be thankful for the transformation and tools we were given to have a well-mannered member of our family again. Worth every single penny and will recommend to everyone!

The compassion and commitment we found here was just the start of the amazing relationship we found! We looked into training for the Service Dog we had bought for our daughter. We had a proper sit down consultation, and immediately started the Journey! We started with the Platinum Puppy Program, which is AMAZING! In such a short time our 5 month old puppy could do more than I ever saw a puppy do. I love dog training elite. Kristi trained Chloe, who was a very rambunctious ill behaved puppy, to behave politely in public. No jumping, barking, running wild. I’m in a wheelchair with MS. Kristi taught Chloe to also heel which is super important for me. Chloe finally walks beside me, while I’m driving my electric chair and when I stop, she sits right beside me. Anyone who is physically challenged and wants a dog but was worried it would not be safe Kristi will show you it’s possible. Dog training elite is so much more than just training, it’s caring. The trainers at Dog Training Elite give you the tools you need to be successful owners. Our two dogs are in the fast track day camp. We have tried other training with our pups, but never felt confident in what we learned and had issues with follow-up training at home. Every day, our pups show us what they learned and we are given the opportunity to go through that days lesson with the trainer. We never leave until we fully understand the lesson and how to confidently put that training into action at home. If we have questions or concerns (which of course we do) they take the time to listen and respond thoughtfully. Every day we leave with more knowledge and confidence than ever. The training is allowing us to more fully enjoy our pups and give them a more structured home, which in turn creates a better relationship between owner and pup, and gives them a fuller life.

Wow, just wow! Had trouble with a previous dog’s behaviors and disobedience. I decided I was going to do it differently this time around. This training is worth every penny! My very energetic, stubborn boxer is now a pleasure to be around. Even my older mother and elderly grandmother can’t get enough of him, now that he shows off his polite manners. I cannot say enough about Kristi and her amazing staff. They know their stuff and answer all of my questions…so make sure to ask. The learning environment is wonderful at the facility. Every time, we are greeted warmly and no matter how my stubborn puppy doesn’t want to listen, the trainers never loose their cool. I never feel like we are rushed through training and we all learn exactly what we need to be successful. Not only that, we are so blown away and in love with our now well-behaved dog that we are sticking around even longer to get advanced training.

My dog moo had been attacked several times while living in an apartment. She used to love dogs but became very afraid, leading to aggression. It got to a point where I would take her to parks and have to step off the trail as she would be reactive. I was pregnant and wanted to continue taking moo on all the adventures. After only 5 weeks of training moo attended her first group class with Kristi’s team, and 14 other dogs. She completed weave drills, pack walks, and even walking towards a wall of dogs. She is a completely different dog, while still being our happy girl moo. We couldn’t believe the progress and can’t wait to continue our adventures. Kristi and her team are amazing and all so very kind. If you are thinking about it, do it!

The entire DTE team has been amazing to work with my dog to make him a certified therapy dog and myself so that I have to the tools to make him successful.

Boba and I started training with DTE in 2022. It took me quite a while to decide on which training company to go with in the Springfield area, but what stood out the most to me about DTE was the fact that they taught me how to train my companion. I didn’t just drop Boba off for a three week program and come pick up the perfect pet, or leave him at a facility for two months and come home with a fully trained service dog. They spent time with me and Boba in one on one sessions, teaching us together how to be a great team. They helped us work through issues, build a great foundation for communication, develop trust as a service dog and handler, and they continue to provide support even after Boba has passed his exams and graduated from his program. I can’t stress enough how amazing this team of trainers is and how much they care about their clients (both human and animal). They teach everything from basic obedience to personal protection, and I will always, always, ALWAYS recommend DTE to anyone who asks!!

We adopted a 2 year old Doberman and named him blu. He came to us with no manners whatsoever. I am disabled and handling a 85 pound powerhouse was a challenge. Kristi and Jeremy were amazing training my 16 month old, 55 lb. dog, Wiley. They were both so knowledgeable, professional and patient. Erin in the office is wonderful too. Wiley was difficult to walk if there were other people or dogs nearby and didn’t always come when called, occasionally jumped on people, etc. I choose the 2 week day camp so I would have time to attend weekly group sessions before traveling with him. I saw improvement within a couple days! He has completed the 2 week session and attended one group session so far. He was very good around all the dogs and owners for the group session, I was so surprised. I highly recommend them!

When Sadie first arrived at Elite she had a big wide leash. She liked to drag me down the street. Quickly they taught she and I both how to have an obedient dog. I have owned and had dogs trained all my life. I wanted this puppy and I to understand how to communicate. Kristi and Jeremy deserve 20 stars at least. Plus don't forget Erin at the front desk she makes it all operate smoothly(she is supper sweet). They are patient kind thorough, and sincerely care that we have success. We started with the weekly puppy school. Well, I quickly decided to advance her to puppy camp best decision because they fast tracked her(us) to listening and understanding. We have been working with Kristi for 3 weeks now and have seen so much improvement in our 4 year old dog. Before training he would bark at any person, dog, or moving car he saw, pull on his leash during walks, and ignore commands he was given and after just 3 classes we were able to have a very calm and peaceful walk around our neighborhood with no pulling or barking. He has also started to listen to all commands given. If you’re thinking about training, DO IT!

I am so thankful for Kristi and Jeremy, the owners and trainers for Dog Training Elite Springfield. They have been helping me train our 6 year old Boston Terrier to be a service dog. If I could beam and flash spotlights on Dog Training Elite Springfield, I would! I once hated our little dog, Patsy, because of her terrible, obnoxious, and infuriating behavior. I can’t say enough about how much Kristi and Jeremy have done for my family. They helped a shy 12 year old take her over exuberant miniature schnauzer puppy and meet her goals of an outstanding service dog. Truly grateful for Kristi and her team for helping us with our German Shepherd (Angus). He is the best big boy ever but after training he's even more amazing. We have taken our German shepherd to just 2 sessions and she has improved SO much already. We have been trying to work on her leash reactivity (barking & lunging around dogs) for awhile now, and within these two sessions she hardly makes any noise when passing a dog now. Her recall has also gotten a lot better. I can’t wait to see what else she learns and improves on as we continue through these sessions!

Been working with Kristi for the last couple of months with my two standard poodles. One is 3 years old and one was 8 months when starting. I learned so much and my dogs are so much better behaved. I wanted more training with my dogs because my elderly parents come to visit and I was afraid they would take them out running around because the puppy has almost taken me out several times. Now when my parents come I can tell the doggie’s to go place and get my mother settled before releasing them for pets. I enrolled my 4-year-old rescue dog, Bagel, in the in-facility dog training. We dropped him off “at school” for 5 days to work with the Dog Training Elite staff. Before attending training walks were rough. I felt like an overworked servant and would be so frustrated by the time we got home. Bagel was a puller and reactive to other dogs. After 5 days all of that changed. We became to friends going for a walk instead of dog and servant. His reactivity was so much more managable. I can even jog with him without him pulling on the leash. It was an amazing transformation. These training have given me and my dog the ability to communicate in a way we could not before. I also find a lot of value in the group classes that are offered. I would highly recommend this group of trainers.

I started training my 18 month old Barbet with Kristi one week ago. And while I have done previous training with Ziva and achieved the Canine Good Citizen title, we were still having issues with barking at anything that moved, and I could not break her from jumping on guests. However, one session with Kristi and only one or two days of training on my own, the barking has stopped and she now approaches guests calmly, more importantly she recognizes me as the leader, no matter what! We have enjoyed and love all we have learned at Elite. We have four dogs, but our Elite trained girl is the most well behaved.

We signed our one year old nonsocial, fearful rescue dog up for training. She is 80 lbs and extremely strong. She was always pulling and bolting due to fear. Each day when I picked her up the progress she made was amazing. After one week she had learned 5 commands and gained so much self confidence. They were so helpful to work with us to make sure we were comfortable handling our dog. The staff is incredible and they have exceeded my expectations.

I got a mini Aussie I didn’t want and got thrown on me but I became attached to him, and I took him in because I was worried he’d go to a pound. He never got properly socialized even before getting him as a puppy, he lacked confidence and was always over protective of me and constantly lunging out and being aggressive towards dogs and people he didn’t know. Desperate to not have him bite someone and put him down, I contacted DTE to break some of his herding habits, and they delivered! Within the first week he stopped growling and barking at people and dogs that walked by on our walks, and is more obedient and under control. I can take him to parks and play fetch with him without having to worry of him running up on people and showing aggression! I can’t thank Kristi and Nerissa enough for helping us, being able to work around scheduling, and leading Chewie into a more confident and happy lifestyle with lifelong care and attention!

As a family, we didn't realize how much our little Maltese pups could accomplish in such a short time. Banjo (and I) started training with Nerissa about 5 weeks ago (he was 6 mos old) I was having major dog owners remorse UNTIL we met Nerissa! Banjo is a delight to be around now, he responds to my commands, no jumping, no biting, no running into me! I love how well behaved he has become Nerissa’s excitement about training (the owner) is contagious and it makes me want to train banjo to be the best he can! I knew I wanted to train Dolly as a service dog to help my husband with some of the long term side effects from his cancer treatments. I also knew training a miniature daschund would be a BIG challenge. (Daschunds are know for their stubbornness and independent thinking.) I met with Kristi at DTE and we discussed our family's needs and what it would take to accomplish my goal of training Dolly to be a excellent helpmate to my husband. We got to work right away and the results continue to be AMAZING! From the first session Dolly went from being a cute, but out of control diva, to following commands quickly and calmly. I was hesitant. My boxer is just 10 months old with zero respect for boundaries. I have had a boxer before, so I thought this is how Lovey would be for her first few years. I found DTE on line and made an appt for the free consultation. I originally planned to do the weekly classes, but after further consideration, I decided to go for it - and I am beyond THRILLED! Lovey is in the 2 week day camp classes - life is too short to wait - and I want to enjoy her to the fullest NOW! After just TWO DAYS, I struggle to find words to describe the difference in her! Kristi is awesome. Wonderful experience. We have 2 dogs that required 2 sessions and Kristi was a Jedi at understanding our dogs. What a great experience and life is so much better after the training. From walking, to bark discipline to distractions, our home and yard are much more enjoyable now.

We have a 11 month old Aussie/Great Pyrenees mix and she is hyper with a very short attention span. Once she is focused on something it's tough to get her attention. She would jump on people begging for attention. Barking at other dogs sometimes causing aggressive behavior from other dogs. Constantly pulling on the leash, at times almost causing my wife to fall. She would chase our cats creating havoc in our home. We started training her at 4 months with 2 other trainers whos training methods did not help her to stay focused on us or our commands and did not help to correct her behavior. Nerissa has trained our Vizsla Puppy, Ruby to do what we thought would be impossible. We are able to take Ruby into dog friendly retail establishments and Ruby will not lunge at customers or damage merchandise, Ruby walks calmly through a hotel lobby and is not afraid to ride in an elevator. That being said, Ruby is not perfect, and is still a work in progress, but with the help of group training classes, we feel Ruby will continue to make progress towards being a well behaved pet with whom we feel confident traveling with. Nerissa answered our numerous questions patiently and was extremely helpful with her advise.

What we thought we adopted: a 30lb Miniature Pinscher mix What we actually got: a 70lb bear hunter (Plott Hound)/military dog (Dutch Shepard) mix Short Description: We have 70lbs of pure muscle that felt zero pain and ran through life following whatever impulse she had no matter the dangers or repercussions. Now we have the best dog that brings joy to our lives every day without all of the destruction brought initially. She’s a whole new dog that kept all of her best qualities! Long Description: For a year we struggled with her eating our furniture and walls, wildly moving through life and so much more! She did not respond to any of our current training techniques we used with our previous dogs and we didn’t know what to do. Tiana was running through life with no control and was even getting injured from it. It had gotten to the point where I wasn’t even sure I wanted her to be in our home. It broke my heart and I felt like a failure of a dog mom!! Then we made the best choice and had Kristi come out to see what life in our home had become. Kristi was understanding and compassionate as we sat at my dining room table while I cried about fearing that I’ll never be bonded to Tiana and how awful that would be for us both. Kristi showed us how to encourage Tiana to make better choices and focus on what we want/need her to do. Tiana is still her silly happy self but is so much safer! She isn’t eating tons of inedible objects anymore! She isn’t annoying her brother dogs to a point where they feel they have to attack her! She understands her place in our family and is now adding even more joy than we thought she would! She’s in control, calm and so much safer than she was before! I had an unruly Yorkie. I actually had contemplated getting rid of him. My last ditch effort was to hire a trainer. I happened on Dog Training Elite and decided to give this one more try. I’m about halfway through the weekly sessions. What a difference they have made with my little guy! Hank - our 6 month old Wire Fox Terrier drove his 11 year old sister crazy. After our first lesson (Off and Quiet), she was quickly able to tolerate him. Like even the same night!!! We are three lessons in and our lives and household is so much better. Hank will Sit and won't move even though his favorite toy is jumping around in front of him. We are so proud of him!!! I have been seeing Dog Training Elite at different farmer's markets over the past couple of years. Upon getting a year old Labradoodle in June 2023 - and seeing how intelligent but yet rowdy he was. I booked a free consultation with Narissa. Within a month, Charlie, our Labradoodle was a completely different dog. The behavioral issues that seemed like a possible dealbreakers were GONE. The basic commands that were taught cut out the annoying and troublesome behaviors of most dogs. We are training Charlie in hopes of him becoming a ACA therapy dog. As a therapist, a dog has to listen first time and know appropriate boundaries. With the training provided by Dog Training Elite he will be able to become certificated with few issues. Typically a very strenuous process. Another thing I would like to say about Dog Training Elite is the practicality of their training. The consistency that it brings for the dog, the main family member training, AND the family is worth its wait in GOLD. Our children know that they can only use certain commands with Charlie and it gives them control and confidence for example: when the four-year-old feels overwhelmed by the dog's excitement. She simply says "sit"… He sits exactly where he is. She goes about her business and then, she simply says "break," giving the dog permission to come out of sit. We chose to make the investment in our Charlie. Dog's aim to please and love their owners by observable and rewardable obedience. One thing I have learned over training, is I was very inconsistent with the way I communicated with Charlie causing him confusion and Me frustration. Elite Dog Training is AMAZING! When I got my Bernese mountain dog pup, I knew right away I was going to need help with obedience and training since I was going to have a big dog on my hands. I ran into Elite Dog Training at the farmers market at Farmers Park and that is where I met Kristi and got to learn what the training was all about. I knew Kristi was fully confident in her teaching abilities which made me so eager to have my pup train with her. My pup started training at 8 weeks old and he is now 5 1/2 months and I cannot believe how well he has done with training. Kristi has been so patient of my pup and I; she is encouraging and always brings her best energy. I used to be very sensitive to the idea of training with a “shock collar” but I have realized that it is meant to be used as a tool and not something harmful to your dog. As Kristi always says, “obedience is freedom” and with the few months of training, I can 100% say that is true. I am able to take my 5 1/2 month old pup out in public without it being absolute chaos because I use the training techniques and tool that Kristi has helped us learn and perfect along that way. Also, we have started jointing group class which is an absolute blast! It is amazing to see how well all the dogs behave and how the trainers, Nerissa and Kristi, handle the training and communication with each individual and their pup. My wife and I have been exploring opportunities for more intense training of our Catahoula leopard dog, a very stubborn and headstrong breed. We came across Kristi at an event, and arranged a free in-home evaluation. After discussing the options, we opted for what is without question an expensive option, but after completing our last session today I can say it was absolutely worth it. Kristi brings knowledge and experience to dog training that I would say a vast majority do not have. Her methods absolutely work, and within minutes in the first session our dog was beginning to make connections and display behaviors we had all but given up on. He is immensely better behaved now than when we started, and Kristi has equipped us with the knowledge and tools to take his training even further. Regardless of experience level, age, breed, etc., I would highly recommend Kristi and Dog Training Elite to anyone who requires impeccable obedience from their dog. We have the tools and knowledge now to equip us for not only the lifetime of this dog, but any others that we have in the future. I can’t think Kristi enough, and I highly recommend her and this service.

Ms. Kristi is AMAZING!!! My goldendoodle Bailey is a brand new dog. Before DTE, walks were a nightmare, she’d steal food from the counter if we weren’t looking, she’d bark constantly, and she had no boundaries. I couldn’t fully enjoy being with my dog because I was constantly telling her “no” and “hush.” I knew we needed help when my toddler started yelling those same things at her! Kristi is so passionate about helping others. She’s given us the tools we need to better communicate with our dog and reinforce commands. The result has been a peaceful household; Bailey loves the work and I love being able to connect with her. I am able to take her on walks alone WHILE pushing my toddler’s stroller! I suppose you can watch dog training videos on YouTube, buy a book and figure it out on your own, or hire an “inexpensive” trainer. But, do you honestly want your puppy to be well-trained with results that will astonish you and everyone that meets your puppy? If you do, then Dog Training Elite Springfield is the place to go. Yes, we used all the above alternatives and the results ranged from ok to not-so-good. After the first session with DTES, our puppy was doing better than after a year of the other stuff. Watching them around our dog as well as their’s and the Group class, as well, we could tell they love puppies and a well trained puppy is a happier puppy. We met Nerissa and Kristi before we got our dog and loved their energy and enthusiasm. When Rigby joined our family, enrolling her in DTE was one of our first goals. From our first consultation, Kristi put us at ease and let us know obedience training would not damper Rigby's personality, but rather give us tools to communicate with her and also help us separate "work mode" from play or rest time. We worked with Nerissa for all of our training sessions and loved having personalized attention and goals for each each class. We've also taken full advantage of the group classes and have been able to target some of Rigby's more persistent challenges. DTE has been a wonderful experience for us and something we found beneficial for both humans and canines. Even with just 4 paws, Rigby would give them a 5-paw rating!

Kristi has been helping us to train our two Lakeland Terriers, one is 6 years old and the other is 5 months old. She has taught us so much and she is great with our dogs. You can tell she loves her job and loves working with dogs. In the future we will probably do some additional training when our 5 month old gets a little older. Our dogs have learned so much, Lakeland Terriers are barkers and they don’t bark near as much as they used to. We highly recommend Dog Training Elite for your dog training, they are the best. Before we started training, Daphne (1yr-old, 60lbs, rescue mutt) would constantly demand attention by jumping on you, biting at you, etc. but then she was also too scared of the outside world to go on walks past our block. We first decided to work with Dog Training Elite because we needed some help with our anxious girl, Maisie. Maisie was overall a very good girl but she was so anxious about protecting us that she would bark at anyone, everyone and everything! She's a big girl and she has a big bark and it simply wasn't a good first impression. She has such a big squishy loving personality and it just didn't show when she greeted everyone in that way. Kristi gave us the tools to have that under control in week 1. We've moved on to other commands and Maisie is mastering them all. Kristi has been AMAZING. Our rescue baby Mabel started having aggressive tendencies. Kristi gave us tools on how to muzzle train Mabel, and advice on feeling comfortable as a dog parent with a pup in a muzzle, that it’s nobody else’s business! Mrs. Kristi is awesome! I'm a chiropractor and have the pleasure of adjusting Mrs. Kristi; we have several service dogs come in the office, but Gidget is different. The quick responsiveness and obedience of commands is noticeably different and the level of respect, trust, and of course love is amazing.
