Dog Training Elite

Professional Manchester Puppy Trainers

Bringing home a new puppy is exciting, but it also comes with challenges like chewing and accidents. The most common mistake new owners make is underestimating the knowledge, commitment, and effort needed to train a new puppy.

Once a puppy begins to grow, its energy can quickly feel unmanageable. It’s all too common that a well-meaning and loving family takes on a puppy lacking the knowledge and skills to train correctly. This often results in overwhelmed owners rehoming or taking these puppies to local shelters, feeling the puppy’s disposition is bad or simply that they are not cut out to be dog owners.

At Dog Training Elite, we focus on building that bond through effective training to foster trust and communication. Our experienced Manchester puppy trainers use proven methods to help you and your puppy succeed together.

The Importance of Puppy Training

Almost everyone and everything a puppy will encounter will be brand new, which can be exciting. However, puppies may not know how to respond positively and safely to new experiences without proper training. That's why Dog Training Elite believes in starting puppy training as soon as possible, so you and your pup can bond and start your adventures on the right foot!

Training the DTE way provides puppies and owners with a nurturing environment where they can learn to communicate and trust each other. Puppies have an innate desire to please, so training can be fun and even easy! Of course, it can be daunting to try and figure out how to make puppies understand concepts like potty training or commands like sit and stay on your own. That's where puppy training comes in.

Keeping a puppy safe should be the number one priority of new dog owners. By working with puppy trainers in, new puppy owners can learn how to teach their pup both basic and complex obedience skills effectively. Training a pup to be home alone, walk on a leash, wait on the threshold, and avoid consuming non-edible objects will help keep them safe when out of sight.

The investment in Dog Training Elite was one of the best decisions we made. The program is comprehensive and gave us tools to build our dog’s mental and physical abilities. Let’s face it, it’s more about training the owners. Winston loves Beth and he knows she’s not going to fall for his drama. Highly recommend!

I’m not a dog person, but my wife had to have a dog. I was very skeptical about paying for training. I’m also a negative person. So my positive review should speak volumes. I totally recommend this program. The owners are extremely nice and helpful. I feel like any new dog owner should go through this program. I can’t say enough.

We had a truly wonderful experience with Renee. We trained our 5 year older 90 pound Weimaraner (Axel) with Renee. Axel was highly reactive. He's very smart but also very stubborn. Renee spent half his lessons training Axel and half training us. Almost immediately, we were amazed at how well Axel was listening to Renee and it became clear to us that we need the training as much as Axel. On our last two trainings we went out to Lowes and Bass Pro Shops. We never would have even considered this before Elite Dog Training. Axel did great and we are excited to know the potential of our dog and love that we are more comfortable bringing them out in public.

We very much enjoyed working with Beth & Rene. Our boy Cash was trained by Beth as a Service Animal and we are so Proud of him and all the help we received from the trainers. We sure enjoyed working with this organization and highly recommend them to anyone that needs their assistance in training your dog. We also made great friends, thank you for all your hard work guys.

Really appreciate the one on one approach to training and doing it in my own home where my dog is relaxed. And the access to group trainings with other dogs has been a good introduction for my dog.

I can't express how thankful and grateful I am for Rene. Jasper was already a good dog, but now he is amazing. His obedience is next level. I love how I can always message Rene with questions and it is answered in a timely manner. 100000% would recommend.

I am in the process of training my dog to be a therapy dog. We have almost completed the basic training course and Daisy has made so much progress! Beth was super responsive during the initial information stage by getting back to me quickly and explaining the entire process. She came to my house for an initial evaluation and answered all my questions. From the very beginning, Beth provided clear instructions and expectations for each session. We have been attending the group classes which are both effective and really fun! Both Beth and Rene are easy to work with and provide many activities to carry over the skills we learned during the private training sessions. It's really nice to have a community of dog owners to share both struggles and victories. Beth and Rene truly care about all the dogs and yet are available to provide one to one service and help troubleshoot any behavior issues. What I really like is their understanding that a well trained dog can still be a dog who is silly, affectionate and playful! I would definitely recommended them to anyone with a dog of any age/breed!

Rene and Beth are amazing trainers. We have done both private in home and group training with K9 Elite. With a high energy / sometimes stubborn dog breed, they have shown me and my family the techniques needed to help our puppy become an incredibly fun, obedient and good canine citizen. If you have kids bring them to the training sessions. Our kids do a great job with the weekly practice with the dogs. We highly recommend Rene and Beth as they are kind, caring and happy to help even the oldest, most stubborn dog start to listen and obey.

I have nothing but good things to say about this training program. We had a 100+ pound untrained Newfoundland who was sweet but did not obey commands well. Fast forward 8 weeks and we now have a dog we can confidently take anywhere! René, our trainer, was incredible. Not only is he clearly knowledgeable and experienced with all kinds of dogs, but he also took the time to teach us, not just the dog. My wife and I now feel equipped with practical training tools and techniques that we’ll use for the rest of our lives. This wasn’t just about obedience commands, it was about building a lasting relationship based on communication and respect. We couldn’t have hoped for a better experience. Every session was hands-on, professional, and tailored to our needs. And yes, it was worth every penny. If you’re serious about training and want real results with a trainer who knows his stuff, this is the place.

Trying to get a stubborn English mastiff to do anything was becoming impossible until Rene trained not only Tucker but us as well, after a couple of weeks what a difference, comes when called, sits, gets in the car, heels, amazing difference.

So glad we signed our two dogs up for training! They both had different challenges (one hyperactive and jumpy and one scared and nervous), and the training did them both wonders. Highly recommend! We worked primarily with Beth and she was awesome to train with.

Best training experience ever. My GSD is well behaved now. The trainer was very positive and encouraging and very knowledgeable. I received lots of good advice. I love the free group classes that follow the completion of the training program. It reinforces everything we have learned.

I could not recommend this company enough! My dog was lacking respect and basic listening skills and i was at a loss on how to get through to him. We had Beth as our trainer and she was amazing! nothing but great things to say to her. not only did she teach my dog she also taught me. I now know how to get into his head and understand him in a way i couldn’t before. with the skills they taught me I can teach him new tricks and commands all on my own. if i ever have a question she’s always there with a quick reply to help me out! the free lifetime group classes are also a MAJOR perk as they let me continue his training and learn new things every week. I can’t thank Beth enough for turning my extremely anxious, disrespectful, dog with no self confidence into the complete opposite. we are able to do things i never thought id ever be able to do with him before. if you’re looking for a good trainer they are the people to reach out to!

Badgers first training session was a game changer looking forward to working with Beth! Thank you! Week 8 and I am over the moon! When Badger and me started with Beth and Rene I was skeptical as my pup had spent 15 months 24/7 with me with very little contact with other humans and that being family only . He jumped, barked pulled had no direction! Ahh 8 weeks later I ask myself who is this gentle 80 pound pup who listens to all commands, come, sit, down , heal and place! I can walk with him and take him in the public! Thank you Beth and Rene! I am a senior citizen and a 80 pound pulling jumping dog is not fun. Thanks to you I enjoy Badger and others can to! I recommend you and your business to anyone with a dog! Thank you from Badger and Christina.

I can't say enough good things about DGE, the trainers Renee and Beth and the incredible work they are doing with my dog, Rosti. From the very first session of behavior training up to her work on Therapy Service training it is clear that they have a genuine passion for helping dogs and their owners succeed.

She was very good at explaining the process and what to expect during the training! She’s very understanding about a dog’s behavior and why they do it so she can give advice on how to correct it. Allows a dog to be a dog but a well behaved one!

Dog Training Elite Greater New Hampshire is the best place to train your dog whether it be for obedience, service dog, puppy knowledge or behavioral issues. Beth and René are wonderful people and trainers and give you the attention you deserve. They are always on time, communicate efficiently and it is clear they have a great deal of knowledge and care about the results your dog puts out from their program. From the first day I contacted them about training, I was provided with a bunch of helpful information about training and recommendations. Not once was I pushed to sign up, but I was more so provided with many options of how we can get started without breaking the bank. They even offer lifetime group classes to continue to work through new life challenges and training! Our 6 month old boxer has been in the program since she was 8 weeks old, she is still so young and receives compliments on her behavior everywhere we go regardless of her immaturity stage. I have no complaints and all positive things to say about Beth and René at Dog Training Elite Greater New Hampshire. I highly recommend you use Dog training Elite for your dog training needs. You will not be disappointed! We are so thankful to have found this company and will never look to anyone else to train our pups! We can't wait to work with them for the next step for our pup, Service Dog training. Thank you for everything!! Jeff and Sarah

First-time dog owners are often unsure of when to begin training their dogs. For the best results, it’s essential to start training your puppy as soon as possible. You can start socialization and basic commands as soon as you bring your new puppy home. Puppies are open to new experiences and people and learn quickly while they are young. It is beneficial to take advantage of this stage. Start with basic commands like "down," "come," and "stay." If you are searching for classes, Dog Training Elite offers puppy obedience classes.

We have developed a highly successful and unique positive puppy training program empowering dog owners to train. Hence, their dog knows who to obey at all times, in all situations or environments. We offer personalized training to deal with specific issues and behaviors. We even offers customized training schedules to offer you the support you need as a dog owner.

Involvement is Key!

Most dog training programs don’t allow for the involvement of owners and families. Our trainers greatly encourage owners and their families to be involved in the training process. Why? This ensures you and your family know what’s expected, allows for continued education and means all the progress isn’t lost. Your puppy won’t come home and forget everything he’s learned.

Our puppy training program consists of two phases, early training and advanced training. Puppies as young as eight weeks can begin learning with Dog Training Elite Greater New Hampshire. Our process allows us to efficiently complete in-home puppy training services at your home or within the environment where behaviors manifest - such as in the park or around other dogs in the neighborhood.

How Puppy Training Works

We use a positive puppy training method paired with an electronic collar - not a shock collar. Unlike shock collars, electronic collars do not hurt or harm the pup. They are used only to obtain their attention, not to punish bad behavior. We believe in using constant praise to encourage good behavior. The difference becomes apparent when comparing a puppy trained out of fear to a puppy who truly desires to please.

Positive Reinforcement for Positive Pups

Positive reinforcement is the best option in puppy training. Punishments will only scare your dog, and fear can lead to aggression problems later in life. Our trainers use a classical conditioning program focusing on positive reinforcement of basic commands.

Dogs are eager to please. When they learn following basic commands results in affection or a treat, they will be happy to do as you ask. With patience - and the assistance of a professional puppy trainer - you'll be rewarded with a lifelong loyal pal.

We base our training around the "Classical Conditioning" model, also known as the "Pavlovian" response or "respondent conditioning." This means developing conditioned or automatic reflexes to commands, so when the owner says "sit," the dog automatically sits without thinking. Our unique technique ensures our program is a success no matter what behavior we encounter.

Tips on How to Bond

Training is a great way to establish a deep, loyal bond with your puppy. Outside of your training sessions, there is more you can do to strengthen your bond. Here are some more tips for how to bond with your puppy:

Your puppy may not understand the words you’re saying, but he or she will understand your tone of voice. Speaking in an excited tone of voice will get your pup excited and motivate them to do what you want them to. Speaking in a low, calm voice can help soothe and relax your puppy.
Puppies thrive on routine. A consistent schedule will help your puppy adjust to their new home, and to you and your family. A puppy’s schedule needs to include eating, playtime, puppy training, potty breaks, and nap times.
As mentioned above, playtime is an important part of your puppy’s schedule. Playing with your puppy will help strengthen your bond and stimulate their brains. Walks are an easy and great way to give your puppy much-needed exercise. Start small, walking around in your yard or driveway and gradually extending the distance around your neighborhood.
Creating boundaries in your home for your puppy helps strengthen your bond because your puppy will look to you for direction and guidance. It will also help your puppy avoid bad habits. Baby gates and playpens are a useful way to create physical boundaries.
Puppies can become overwhelmed about all the new things they’re exploring. Crate training is a perfect way to allow your puppy to have their own space where they feel safe and comfortable and help them develop some independence so they grow into a well-adjusted dog.
The most adorable way to bond with your puppy is by cuddling them! Snuggling with your pup can help him or her feel comforted and safe. The best time to get a cuddle session with your puppy is when they are sleepy. Cuddling also helps puppies get used to having their paws, belly, face, etc. handled, and can be a good time to introduce light grooming practices like brushing their fur.
