Dog Socialization Classes in Kentuckiana

Joe was amazing with my dog! I have always heard "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" but Joe showed me and my 7 year old dog everything we needed to be successful in dog training and obedience! He took so much time to talk through training as well as any other questions we had! I appreciate him and DTE so much!

My two year golden retriever has received the training. We went from bolting out the front door to sitting and waiting. As well learning how to place on different surfaces and to lay down on command. I am able to take her on walks without her pulling and able to have her seat without bolting aware. This has helped so much to even have it down in my own house vs going somewhere getting in the use to be a nightmare. When done with the obedience classes you get to start group sessions and I love that they help grow and support what your dog has learned.

I love training sessions with Joe and Kim at Elite Dog Training. Pax and Boomer are both excelling, and after just four weeks of training, I’ve already seen a big difference in my reactive pup. She’s becoming more confident and much more comfortable around visitors in our home. I really appreciate how clearly they break down each command step by step. They make it easy for me to understand and confidently practice on my own. The in-home sessions have been incredibly helpful, and I feel like I’ve gained the tools and guidance I need to prevent her reactive behavior from holding her back. I truly feel like I’ve become a better dog parent through this process, and I can’t recommend Elite Dog Training enough. The sessions are top tier, and I’m so grateful for the support. I cannot recommend them enough!

I adopted a dog who was abandoned and had trust issues wouldn’t walk to even go outside. My husband had to carry her. She slowly started to come out of her shell and with talking and working with Kimberly on ideas she is now trusting she listens to commands and is my whole world. She has come a long way in three months and will continue to work with her. I enjoy all the tips I read on face book. I wish I lived closer to have Marli trained with you. Your advice reaches people outside your area keep up the good work.

Joe and Marlene are excellent! I came to them with a dog that most thought was too far gone. Within 5 weeks, she is a totally different dog. Their methods are sound; I can see the results. Marlene and Joe are great teachers and have the ability to communicate their instructions well. Our experience has been wonderful and we recommend them to everyone we know that has dogs. They are very knowledgeable and have been able to answer anything we have asked about what is best for our dogs. They never pushed our dog faster then what he was able to do at any stage of his training! If he was having a harder time with a command they would give us tips and show us a different way that our dog may be able to understand what we are wanting out of him. They truly do care about every dog out there! We are going to be using them to train our dog to be a service dog as they stand behind their work and it shows! They even gave us tips on what we can do with our other dog (we did not pay for them to train our other dog) but if we had any questions about either of our dogs they helped! Our walks have become so much easier with two dogs because of them there is no pulling and the walks are no longer something to dread! The group classes they offer are an amazing time for all dogs to enjoy the outside and learn what is expected of them when meeting other dogs and people! 10 out of 10 recommend!!!
