    We are so pleased with the training we received for our dog Stella! My fiancé and I signed Stella up for training after experiencing some reactivity toward my dog as well as on walks. Before we started training, we were on edge a lot because we never knew when Stella might show aggression toward my dog. I also didn’t feel comfortable walking Stella by myself because of her leash manners and reactivity toward people and other dogs on walks. Each week we worked with Marcy on teaching our dog some basic commands and how to correct unwanted behaviors. Marcy did a great job explaining to us what we needed to do and why. We have seen such an improvement with Stella! We know how to handle different behaviors now and I am able to take her on walks independently which I didn’t think would be possible. The training was so worth it, we would definitely recommend Dog Training Elite!

    We had an incredible experience with the entire team at DTE. Our trainer Marci was amazing to work with and talk things over each week. Very understanding and always had great insight and tips to handle any issue we threw at her. The process works wonders if you want it to work and put the time in during the week while the trainer isn’t with you. We loved our experience and are already looking forward to the free group classes to keep learning more.

    We have a 10 month old Doberman named Tito that started showing signs of aggression and reactivity with other dogs and people.     Dog training elite is a must for all dog owners. We adopted a very shy puppy from the humane society and she would barely get out from underneath the kitchen table. We worked with Stephany, Ramiro, and Hannah during our Platinum Package and it was with every penny. Our little girl now sets the standard for any four legged friend we may ever have.     We just finished a GREAT training course for our “too smart” blue heeler. Finding the right program for her was our biggest concern. And with a young family at home, we had to get it right the first time. Ramiro was great with her. He knew exactly how she needed to be trained to get the best results out of her. Each class was more for us and what we needed to do, than for her. We left each class impressed with our teamwork and the growing strength of our bond. He showed us how to work with her intelligence and kept her engaged the whole hour. She is already a new dog after 6 short weeks. He gave us all the tools we needed to continue her future training.     If I could give 100 stars I would!!! My dog Bulma was the shyest, timid dog who struggled with fear reactivity. We took her to see the trainers at Dog Training Elite and in just 2 short weeks she is a completely new dog. We looked at a few other trainers in the Green Bay and Fox Valley area and from the beginning I was very impressed with the level of detail and care the trainers showed. We signed Bulma up for the 4 day platinum plus package and we had the joy of working with Brianna. She was so sweet and so kind to our timid girl and by day 2 Bulma was giving her kisses and wagging her tail. By day 4 I have a completely different dog. She doesn’t pull or bark when other dogs are walking by she listens and the biggest thing is her confidence is growing. We have to put the work in to keep making strides with Bulma but I can’t thank Brianna and the whole team at Dog Training Elite enough.

I was initially hesitant on what type of training Emmie would need, but with Ramiro’s experience with shy dogs I knew I was in the best hands. Emmie gradually started to come out of her shell, and I’m so grateful for the progress I’ve seen. I would highly recommend Ramiro to anyone working with a shy or fearful dog. I went from a dog who was literally scared of anything to a dog being able to walk in a store and be ok with sniffing an unknown persons hand. Ramiro’s training consisted of using a prong collar and an E collar, and with those two tools I was able to completely see a difference in my dog.

    Training with Ramiro has been life changing for our family!!!! Our beautiful boy Donnie started becoming very insecure and reactive towards strangers and other dogs at the age of 8 months old. We assumed he had become aggressive but quickly into his training it was clear that he was just scared. We stopped bringing him places and felt very sad and defeated. We have 2 small children and knew this wouldn’t work long term with them wanting friends over to play someday. We were worried that we could possibly waste our money if the training didn’t work but that definitely was not the case! Seeing our baby boy transform before our eyes has been an incredible feeling and we just feel so proud!! It has been worth every penny! Prior to training, Charlie exhibited reactivity tendencies, frequently barking at strangers and other dogs, and becoming inconsolable. Given Charlie’s advanced age of 8 years, I anticipated a challenging and stressful training process. However, by placing my full trust in the process, I have witnessed a remarkable transformation. Marcy demonstrated exceptional patience with the stubborn Charlie, who has grown to adore her. Training Essentials for Your Puppy

At Dog Training Elite, we believe in positive reinforcement and yummy treats do the trick! We recommend a high-quality, berry-sized reward that your puppy will enjoy. Rewarding your dog while training teaches them that you approve of that behavior and maintains their motivation to perform well.
Because you’ll be handing out lots of treats, you will probably want a treat bag or pouch. There are many options out there with different sizes, shapes, and ways to carry. The benefit of getting a treat pouch is the ease of access and the ability to reward your puppy quickly. If you aren’t interested in getting a treat pouch, we recommend getting a small bag to carry you puppy’s rewards.
A clicker is a great tool to have along with rewards when training a puppy. With a clicker, you can immediately provide a positive sound when your dog performs a correct behavior, and then you can reward them with a treat. Pairing a clicker with treats is a great way to instill positive reinforcement because you teach your dog that they get a treat when they hear a click. You can buy many kinds of clickers at your local pet store, and they even have helpful clicker apps.
A good leash is another essential when bringing home a new puppy. We suggest a leash made of a durable material like leather and about 6 feet long to allow for comfortable room for both of you. Training your dog on a leash will set you up for fun walks in the future, keep your dog safe, and prevent them from getting lost while out of the house. It is also beneficial for an excited puppy who wants to run around and play while training.
You'll need a sturdy collar or harness to attach a leash while training. Deciding between a flat collar or body harness is up to your personal preference, but it is good to consider your dog's comfort and demeanor. A collar is necessary while training and for safety while out and about. A collar/harness is also the best place to attach the identification for your puppy. If anything happened to your dog, you'd be glad you had a collar with your information on it!
Getting a dog crate is a great way to housetrain your puppy. You will want to get a durable and safe crate for your dog that has enough room for them to be comfortable. You want the crate to be a place of calm and safety for your dog, not a punishment zone. Getting your puppy crate trained gives you a safe space in your home to keep them while they are unsupervised and also prevents unwanted behaviors like chewing or peeing inside.
