They are truly the best. They are knowledgeable about what they do and always so helpful. They have made a huge difference in our lives in what they have accomplished with our service dog and we are still in training so it’s incredible what they have done for us. Our service dog has been life changing because of them. They are also wonderful people with genuine caring hearts, we love them and we just couldn’t recommend them enough.

David is a very knowledgeable and professional trainer! He arrived at each appt on time and with new skills to teach. My dog responded quickly and very well to his instructions. I finished the training feeling well equipped and highly recommend his services to anyone needing dog training!

I have a young Cairn Terrier who is to being trained to be my service dog. I did not have quality training with our first dog, so finding the best match for Pax was so important. I found Dog Training Elite and David was great communicating with me from abroad. I flew back from Germany just to work with him and the center. That demonstrates how important high quality dog training and knowledge is valued by me. I worked with David in the late fall early Winter and was amazed. Not only are the 1:1 sessions fantastic, but his overall knowledge, theory, and techniques are solid! They are not aggressive or invasive. A terrier is a handful and David worked with us with grace and patience. He was dependable, answered questions I had, and called to support. Pax is so different now. I am coming back in March to work with David again. Having trainers with skills and knowledge is a must! I also support our veterans as a DoD employee and daughter of a Vietnam Vet and career soldier. I just knew there was no other fit. Hands down, they are the best!

I am so happy that I found David and Niki and Dog Training Elite!! I have wanted to train a dog for pet therapy for many years but knew nothing about it. We have not had a dog since our grown kids were little, and we have never had a puppy. We knew that we would need some help, as we didn’t want to spend our time fussing at the dog or being annoyed by her. David and Nicki offered a brief puppy training program that helped us enormously, and it got us comfortable with them and their approach. As our pup got a bit older, we followed up with their program for basic manners and socialization. The rate of her improvement has been astonishing. And our dog loves loves loves David and Nicki!❤️ We are going to start the group training exercises to teach her how to focus and take direction even with more distractions and other dogs. Dog training isn’t cheap, whether you get a really good trainer or just a well-meaning person who likes dogs. We are very happy to have found Dog Training Elite, and if we decide to further our training journey there is no question that we will be calling them. Really good people and teachers!

I was enormously impressed by the positive force of energy David conveyed while being firm with Casper while training him and myself that I was not asking Casper if he would like to load in the car but he was to load when I asked him to. It was a major hurdle over years we got over in minutes. Definitely will be who I turn to in any future behavioral issues. Recommend David and Nicole HIGHLY!!

We are so happy we decided to go with Elite to train our dog River! We brought home an 8 week old puppy knowing he needed a friend but not knowing how disobedient he would be. He was biting and acting out and now we have a completely different dog. He loves to walk without pulling, we are no longer afraid he's going to run away if someone comes to the door and he is so eager to please us! I cannot believe the change in him! The training, patience and commands we learned from David and Jenny has changed our lives with our 2 dogs. They are so patient and work around your schedule, we are looking forward to the group training also! Have to give a BIG shout out to Jenny as she was so friendly and positive, she made us feel confident in our strides and success during River's training! Thank you so much from the Walzak's! If you want some help with your dog to become a wonderful companion, don't hesitate call them! It's worth the money and now we can take what we have learned and apply it to our 2nd dog.

We are BEYOND THANKFUL to David, Jenny, and the amazing team at Dog Training Elite Asheville for transforming our dog, Lutsen. He used to be wild and disobedient, pulling so hard on walks that he’d choke himself. Thanks to their expert guidance and personalized training, Lutsen now stays in place, heels off-leash, sits/waits, and comes on first command. We couldn’t be more thrilled with the results and wholeheartedly recommend their incredible services!!!! ♾️🙏

Dog training Elite Asheville is a good platform

I can’t say enough good things about dog Training Elite of Asheville! David, Nicole, and the entire team are truly amazing. If you’ve ever had a Boxer, you know how stubborn and energetic they can be—especially at just five months old. My puppy, Lyanna, was a handful, and already becoming sit in her ways. But thanks to their expert guidance, she’s already turning into the most well-behaved, responsive dog I could’ve hoped for. In just a short week, Lyanna has made incredible progress, and it’s all thanks to the dedication and professionalism of the staff. Their approach is compassionate, structured, and tailored to each dog’s needs. I’m incredibly impressed and grateful. I’m fully committed to continuing Lyanna’s training through all of the programs they offer. I couldn’t have done this on my own, and I feel so supported by the team at Elite. If you're looking for exceptional dog training and a team that truly cares about your pup’s success, I highly recommend them!

I wish I had been able to use this training method with my previous dog- it’s unbelievable what they are able to do with a bright puppy!! So excited to continue with them and hopefully train her to be a service dog for my daughter!

I’m so thankful for David and Nicki who worked with my standard poodle, Katie. She’s naturally timid, but they were patient and gentle with her until she felt comfortable and safe. Once they earned her trust, we moved into group training sessions where she really started to shine learning how to follow commands even with distractions and gaining some much-needed social skills. They tailored the training to her specific needs, and it’s been amazing to see her confidence grow. As a first-time dog owner, I think I learned just as much as she did! They are clearly passionate about what they do and truly care about the pups (and their humans). Highly recommend. Please don't hesitate to give them a call!

I cannot recommend DTE enough! We adopted our girl Zula and when we brought her home, she was a little ball of anxiety. She would bark and growl at visitors and hide in her crate to avoid anyone that wasn't us. She barked at people on walks, she would lay down and shake if we needed to go in the car, and she had to be muzzled at the vet (just in case) because of her growling and fear/anxiety. We were scared to have people over thinking her anxiety could turn into aggression. After just the free assessment visit with David and Nicole, they gave us some pointers and we saw an IMMEDIATE change in her trusting us more and calming down a bit. Needless to say, we bought a training package, and Jenny was our main trainer! Six visits later and Zula is a totally different dog - she's very confident and our bond with her is one of trust and security. She's happier and more confident, we can take her out to breweries with us no problem, she greets new visitors really well and there's no more growling. And she's not scared of the car! She can still get overstimulated at times, but we now have the tools to work with that. We're really looking forward to attending the group training classes included in the package we purchased. David, Nicole and Jenny really know their stuff! If we ever need a training service again, we won't be looking anywhere else!

I first reached out to David from Dog Training Elite Asheville when I had just moved to Asheville, and my dog was stressed, behaving aggressively, and resource guarding. I was scared and needed help asap because I didn't know how to deal with it. I called David, and he reassured me and gave me clear action steps for in-house training. Within just a couple of sessions, I've seen a MASSIVE difference in how my dog is behaving. He's confident, trusts me, and is friendly to anyone that comes in the door. He is all around a happier dog. I would recommend them to anyone that needs help with dog behavior and training. They're also kind people and often very flexible scheduling-wise!

Our dog, Parker, learned so much from David’s and Nicole’s training — and so did we! Their gentle, knowledgeable approach immediately put Parker at ease and made him receptive to learning. They made every session fun, engaging, and positive. Thanks to their guidance, Parker has grown tremendously and is noticeably happier and more confident. I have so many wonderful things to say about David and Nicole at Dog Training Elite! They were incredibly successful in training our dog Stetson (as well as training us!) on how to behave and live our best lives together with our small children. I highly recommend this company and their services.

I started working with the DTE-Asheville team a few months ago, to train my dog Toby as a service dog. I found them via online search and really appreciated how informative their website was, that they are an official/approved trainer for recognized service dogs, and that they will train your existing dog (vs being required to adopt a specific puppy to train for this purpose). Then when I spoke with David on the phone and met him for the initial consultation, I knew they were the right choice for me and Toby. We started with a few weeks of basic obedience training - that's the first step for every dog going through their program and it's a game changer! Toby had done "puppy class" years before and knew some basic commands, but still was a leash puller when excited and only had reliable recall when cheese was involved. Recall was fixed and 100% perfect after just the first training session and has remained perfect since! And he also now reliably walks to heel when requested too. We're nearly through the full program and I'm going into his last couple of sessions confident in his service dog skills and that he will pass the tests required to earn the certification. I would recommend Dog Training Elite Asheville to any pet parent who is committed to working with their dog!
